Yes that's the price today, but due to a new settlement that is not completely in place yet...tomorrow may look completely different.

ICANN has proposed settlement that will allow verisign to raise the cost to registrars by 7% a year without any reason, other than feeling they need to. if raised every year in 10 years the price will double...
